After a Series C round Meero, the first on demand photography platform in the world, announced a €205M investment. Eurazeo Growth and Prime Ventures led the round, which was the biggest Series C for France to date.
Since its launch in 2016, Meero’s total funding has grown to €263.5M. Previously, Meero collected €15.9M in Series A back in September 2017 and another €39.8M in July 2018.
Meero’s Innovative & Creative Technology
Meero is an automated photography platform that offers specialized AI image editing technology. Meero, led by co-founder and CEO, Thomas Rebaud, connects freelance photographers with big names like AirBnB, Expedia, and Uber.
Its goal is to minimize the time it takes in the post-production process of photography by using AI image editing software that allows freelance photographers to spend less time editing and more time shooting.
One hour of actual photo shooting requires up to four more additional hours of editing and production. Meero’s artificial intelligence editing technology aims to cut down on this lengthy process by providing photographers with their software.
Plans to Expand
Today, Meero has acquired over 31,000 customers, employs 600 people globally, and has expanded to seven offices, located in Paris, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Bangalore, Sydney, and Rio.
Meero’s plans to expand aren’t over yet, as it plans to have 1,000 employees by December 2019.
