RoomsAgainstCOVID realized early on that one of the major sources of spreading the virus would be healthcare workers. As a leader at the intersection of tech and tourism worlds in Portugal, Mario Mouraz and others from the Tech4COVID19 movement called upon all their resources to find rooms where healthcare workers could stay for free to reduce the risk of exposure for their families. The project has officially moved over to government hands at this point and is looking to expand to others still needing to travel at this time, such as civil servants.
