While the company works hard to find locations that are appropriate for urban air travel, it is a challenge considering the yet unexplored factors that influence flight in a city setting. Overall, developing the third dimension of city travel is a feat that requires navigating heaps of legislative tape and gaining a positive public perception. So, Skyports’ Voloports are one stop shops for the customers of Vertical-Takeoff and Landing vehicles, making them a natural choice for modern cities. 

Why we’re watching.

Notably, Skyports demo’d its first brick-and-mortar passenger drone landing pad in Singapore in October. Certainly, the collaboration with Volocopter is a long awaited milestone in the collective dream of urban air travel. Additionally, it’s the first step in gaining public acceptance. Therefore, potential customers can experience and have a say in the landing pads that may one day be commonplace.
