An Online Booking Platform for Outdoor Activities

Tourism is one of the main sources of income for many countries. After the global financial crisis in 2008, the tourism boom in Portugal become one of the largest contributors to the national economy. Lisbon especially benefited from the influx of tourists. The city not only offers a charming old town, but also many outdoor activities that attract foreigners.

Choose from Various Activities  

The startup BeRide set out on a mission to gather various  attractive outdoor activities on a single platform. Outdoor enthusiasts can find and book them directly there. Additionally, users can write reviews and rate their experience.

The company partnered with various local service providers helping them to promote their outdoor activities. The users can directly book an activity through BeRide using desktop or their Android, Windows or iOS applications.

BeRide plans to initially focus on Lisbon and its surroundings. With over 200 activities on land, 60 in the water, 20 in the air and even 30 snow activities, the city offers a wide array of possibilities.

The startup plans to expand to other areas of Portugal by the end of 2018. Outdoor activities in other countries are planned to be available not until 2022. The company’s goal is to become the Booking.com for outdoor activities industry.

The Founders

Antonio Willybiro and Olessia Willybiro met Luis Cardoso de Menezes during their stay in Cascais, Portugal. He showed them the amazing outdoor opportunities Portugal has to offer. Thanks to Luis, they wanted to enable everyone to experience the sheer fun they had while visiting Lisbon which inspired them to create BeRide.
