Finnish software developer AppGyver has raised an additional €2 million in funds to help improve its app development platform. With participation from numerous investors, this funding round was jointly-led by Karma Ventures and OpenOcean. With these funds behind it, the startup aims to accelerate the development of its platform, Composer Pro, and scale up its international expansion. But what exactly is the unique approach to professional app building that AppGyver takes?

AppGyver & Composer Pro – The Visual App Builder Platform

Composer Pro is a no-code app development platform. It caters to both professional and newbie app developers alike. It claims that it can help individuals construct professional, sophisticated and production-ready applications for any device without having to type a single line of code. An attractive feature. With simple drag-and-drop functionality, everything is done visually on AppGyver’s Composer Pro. You can create the user interface, app logic, generate access to native APIs, user authentication and backend integrations all in one place.

Marko Lehtimäki, CEO of AppGyver, was excited by the prospects presented by this recent venture: “For a long time, it was our dream that the software built visually without writing code could reach the level of sophistication, customization, quality, and performance of traditionally built software. With the release of Composer Pro, we’ve finally arrived there. We spent four years painstakingly developing Composer Pro and battle-testing it with global enterprises to ensure that our visual drag and drop platform produces high-quality, professional apps that are indistinguishable from native apps.”

Free for indie developers and small companies with under $10M annual revenue, Composer Pro could be a great first step for those looking to create innovative apps. AppGyver also features a customisable pricing plan for individuals or larger organisations with premium support and additional governance features.

“The only way to make visual development truly challenge traditional programming was to build a global community around it. That’s why we made Composer Pro free for indie use, welcoming everyone to join us on the mission. We believe we can reach 1M developers within two years,” continues Lehtimäki.

AppGyver is currently cooperating with companies like Fingrid, Genelec and DHL and boasts a community of over 300,000 developers. With its sights set on a community goal of 1 million, we’ll have to wait and see if it can McGyver a solution.
