How Enerbrain Promotes An Intelligent Use of Energy

Written by Avatar

In the modern world, we spend most of our lives indoors. That has been ever more true in recent months. And while we spend time moving from one indoor location to another, we are often coming in contact with a comfort of modern life: air conditioning. However, these often large and inefficient heating and cooling systems consume a tremendous amount of energy, often pollute our air and, in the end, don’t always offer the comfort we expect of them. Additionally, traditional HVAC systems are expensive, complex and difficult to maintain. Therefore, with the desire of disrupting the status quo, Enerbrain has created a system that saves on energy costs, is sustainable and easy to maintain, and ultimately offers the indoor comfort we desire.

Enerbrain offers smart air conditioning responses.

Enerbrain – A Modern Approach to Indoor Heating & Cooling

The Enerbrain solution to attaining a more sustainable, non-polluting and efficient mode of indoor heating is fourfold. First, there are sensors. With no need for cabling or renovation, Enerbrain’s sensors can be installed in any existing HVAC system (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). These sensors then continuously monitor temperature, humidity and CO2 levels and send all of this data to the cloud. The second step involves the algorithms created by Enerbrain. With the use of machine learning, optimal parameters for these three factors are then calculated and the data is then sent to the third step: the actuators.

The actuators help in making HVAC systems more efficient by deploying these parameters. And lastly, all of this can be controlled by the user via Enerbrain’s configurable dashboard which operates in real-time. This solution is available both online and on the company’s mobile app. This enables customers to manage numerous buildings from one dashboard simultaneously. With its solution, the startup claims that buildings have been able to reduce energy costs by up to a third of what they previously paid while increasing the comfort of the occupants. This solution can therefore be applied to schools, shopping centers, offices, cinemas, airports and more. This also sees these locations become more energy efficient and reduce their CO2 emissions. No small feat.

The Enerbrain Product Line

eSense

A wireless sensor for temperature, relative humidity, pressure and CO2

eSense is designed to be always online with Sigfox or LoRa connectivity. The rechargeable battery lasts over 4 years and installation does not require any wiring. It can be used alone (with APIs) or as part of the Enerbrain energy efficiency system.

eNode

Remote controller for 24V actuators,

eNode allows users to control any 24V or 220V actuator through the algorithms and webapp of Enerbrain. The device is connected via 3G with integrated VPN and is capable of controlling valves, dampers and inverters. The Relais version allows the switching on and off of parts of the systems with advanced control logic. For example, to control the pre-ignition of a boiler, the shutdown of a fan or other controls.

eGauge

Datalogger for electrical monitoring

eGauge allows users to measure electrical consumption or production. Once installed in the electrical panel, it is also able to identify power factor, power line problems and anomalies, allowing the system’s phase shift to be verified. Thanks to the Enerbrain software, it is possible to analyse past and real time electrical consumption.

eGateway

WiFi from 3G or ETH network to connect

eGateway is designed to provide Internet connection to all actuators in a simple and efficient way. Although the favourite connectivity for Enerbrain eNodes is always 3G when using internal modems, eGateways can be used to create a private wi-fi dedicated to Enerbrain. eGateway can operate in two ways: 3G to Wifi or ETH to Wifi. Thanks to an external antenna it guarantees a strong connection even in remote or underground locations.

ePLC

Electrical cabinet to control existing PLCs with

ePLC is a complete electrical cabinet that can be installed to integrate and control directly any existing BMS PLCs with Modbus or BACnet protocol. By installing ePLC it is possible to easily and safely control thousands of variables in any building, including rooftop systems, meters and more.
